the casinos are required to have cash equal to the value of every chip in the casino which is pretty wild. i work in the venetian poker room. the new room is really nice but I hope people will be willing to make the trek. They essentially kicked us out of the best poker room location on the strip so they could try to make more money with the space. At least they didn't just shut poker down like a lot of casinos have done in the last several years.

Also Celine and lady gaga didn't do a duet (although it was rumored) they were both seperate artists gaga did a longish number early on and then Celine (obv due to her ongoing health problems) did 1 song Edith Piaf's classic L'Hymne à l'Amour on the Efiell Tower to close the opening ceremony! ....tbh she was outstanding (as was gaga) ..that opening ceremony was TOTALY diffrent from past Olympics ..NO stadium all done along the river sein on bridges and boats! totaly original (and prob cut the costs down on building a new staduim and they have spread the venuse for the different spots out across France (including the surfing that is being held in Tahiti ..yes they can as its part of Fench polynisia so technicaly a part of France!

I just returned home from Vegas. Played darts at Flight Club and checked out the poker room location. I think it's the old brew pub? Whoever made the decision to put the poker room there should be fired. Who is going to walk the maze to play poker there. If you're staying at the Venetian, it's actually easier to walk to the Wynn poker room.

A tip is a gratuity given if one feels they would want to, for services rendered at the discretion of the person who wins. I don't tip usually because I rarely win, and I'm guaranteed upside-down, maybe the dealers would be generous, and help fund my losses that helped pay their wages.

As a cheap ass UK Brit - i wouldn't tip nothing, not a penny. My money on the table - my winnings. The casinos odds are hard enough to beat in the first place. Casinos should pay a staff proper wage, staff not be reliant on tips

I drove out to Coyote Springs to see the Aurora and it was surprising how many people are out there. Even crazier was when you looked to the South you could see the sky glowing from all the Vegas lights 50 miles away..

Why even tip at all? Like what did the dealer do besides deal out your cards that makes you entitled to a tip? The same goes to gaming bartenders that complain about not getting tipped on jackpots. Look at it this way, if you get tipped on a jackpot, consider that a bonus. If you don’t, keep it moving and pay no mind to it. You didn’t contribute to them winning a jackpot except for literally dealing cards or just getting a gambler at a gaming bar a drink. Just saying
